Our Beers
The Czech pilsner was the first pilsner beer in the world. The name is taken from the town of Plzeň in the Czech Republic, around 90 km west of Prague, which produces the world famous Pilsner Urquell.
Hops give pilsner beer its spicy floral flavor and aroma, and a wonderfully dry and grassy hop bite that slightly lingers. This is notably one of the defining characteristics of the classic Czech hop variety, the Saaz group of hops.
Today, as well as being a major beer exporter, the Czechs still produce the finest hops for pilsner-style lager beers. Hops are used quite liberally in the Czech brewing process, making fresh Czech pilsners among the finest styles of beer in the world.
